Fungi Mungle has Headlined the Six Flags Fiesta, The Whole Enchilada Fiesta, Ysleta and Texas Street Festivals, University of Texas Minerpalooza, That 70's Party, Mardi Gras El Paso, Fiesta de Las Flores, Gran Fiesta, MCAD Music Under the Stars and Alfresco Friday's, Plaza Classic Film Festival, Bennigan's St. Patrick's Day Bash, Sun Bowl Fan Fiesta, and the Sun Bowl Halftime Show and is always a fan favorite at corporate and special events. We've shared the stage with KC and the Sunshine Band, The Pointer Sisters, Tower of Power, Donna Summer, The Village People, Sister Sledge, Chicago, Kumbia All Stars, mini KISS, Mr. Jefferson - Sherman Hemsley, Malo, Blue Oyster Cult, David Archuleta, and Zuill Bailey.

Joey Mungle - Vocals - Creative Director
Joey founded the group in 1995. Joey Mungles' four octave range was classically trained under the guidance of Lazzaro Ferrari. He owns a world renouned custom footwear company (CABOOTS). His cliente includes prominent musicians, CEO's, Cirque du Soleil and Disney.
Gilbert Mata - Guitar - B Vocals - Musical Director
Gil is a multi instrumentalist, but his primary instrument is guitar. He is regularly called upon by touring theater productions. Gil heads the music department at Hanks High School, in 2019 he was recognized as teacher of the year. He can play any style of music. Mr. Mata has a degree in Music from the Univeristy of Texas at El Paso.
David Hamilton - Bass - B Vocal - Bad ass dude
David is a bassist, cellist, vocalist, composer and recording Artist. He's worked with Bobby Rock, Mark Slaughter, Drifters, Coasters, Platters and Marvelets. He's the Music Director at Da Vinci School and music co-ordinator at Burnhamwood district. Catch this Worship leader on Sundays at The Ridge Methodist Church. He recieved his music degree from University of Texas at El Paso.
James Patrick Rupley - Drums - Hugs - Punch lines
Jamey is the heartbeat and lead punster of the Mungles. His extavagent drum sets are the center piece of all Fungi shows (he hand builds them himself). His marketing company has kept the group looking top notch for the past two + decades. His latest enterprise is Downshift Brewery in Ruidoso NM.
Joe Seltzer - Drums - B Vocals -
Joe is best known for his tenure with Ted Scanlon’s Grammy® nominated western swing band, The Desperados. He can be heard on award winning recordings “Blue Jean Girl” from Jaylah Danielle, and “Lucky Seven” with The Desperados and “Faith in the Blues” from Sam Barlow and True Blue.

Carlos Perez - Keyboards - B Vocals -
Charlie can play just about anything (Keyboards, accordian harmonica, trumpet, french horn, sax, guitar, bass, drums, congas, violin, quatro). He's toured with major tejano bands. His mentor recorded and toured with Vicente Fernandez and Juan Gabriel (his dad). By day he's a behavior Specialist/Threat Assessor in Soccoro School district.
